Ana Rita Ferreira
Doutorada em Filosofia pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, com uma tese sobre a estética agostiniana (2012). É mestre em Estudos Curatoriais (2006) e licenciada em Pintura (2003) pela Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa. Entre 2015 e 2023, trabalhou como responsável por projetos artísticos no 22. juli-senteret em Oslo. Encontra-se desde outubro a trabalhar no Integrerings- og mangfoldsdirektoratet (Direção-Geral da Integração e Diversidade).
Received her Ph.D from the University of Lisbon in 2012, with a thesis on Saint Augustine’s Aesthetics. She holds a master’s degree in Curatorial Studies and a licentiate degree in Painting by the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. Ferreira was the Head of Art Projects at the 22 July Centre in Oslo, between 2015 and Sep. 2023. She is currently working at the Norwegian Directorate of Integration and Diversity (IMDi).

Elisabeth Sousa
Doutorada em Teoria Literária, sobre a crítica musical como forma de arte na primeira metade do século XIX. Membro do CFUL desde 2007. Ex-bolseiro de pós-doutoramento no CFUL (2008-5). Membro da equipa do projeto de Tradução da obra de Kierkegaard (PTDC/FIL-FIL/100281/ 2008, concluído em 2013) e do recentemente lançado Experimentação e Dissidência (PTDC/FIL-FIL/1416/ 2014). Os seus interesses de investigação e muitas publicações abrangem Filosofia (foco em Kierkegaard), Estética (foco na Estética Musical e na relação com a Ética).
Gregory Moss
Professor Associado de Filosofia na Universidade Chinesa de Hong Kong. Antes de ingressar na faculdade da CUHK em 2016, foi leitor em Filosofia na Universidade de Clemson, entre 2014 e 2016. Completou o seu doutoramento em Filosofia em Agosto de 2014 sob a orientação do Professor Ricahard Dien Winfield e foi-lhe atribuída uma Bolsa Fulbright de Investigação em Bona, Alemanha (2013-2014). O trabalho académico de Gregory Moss está essencialmente focado nas questões metafísicas e epistemológicas sistemáticas que decorrem das tradições da filosofia alemã pós-kantiana e grega antiga. É autor de Hegel's Foundation Free Metaphysics: The Logic of Singularity, ( Routledge 2020), que obteve o prémio Hegel PD de 2022.
Is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Before joining the faculty at CUHK in 2016 he was a lecturer in philosophy at Clemson University from 2014-2016. He completed PhD in philosophy in August 2014 under Distinguished Research Professor Richard Dien Winfield and was awarded a Fulbright Research Fellowship in Bonn, Germany (2013-2014). Gregory Moss's scholarly work is mainly focused on systematic metaphysical and epistemological questions that stem from the Post-Kantian German and Ancient Greek philosophical traditions. He is the author of Hegel's Foundation Free Metaphysics,: The Logic of Singularity, ( Routledge 2020), which won the Hegel PD prize for 2022.
Helena Costa Carvalho
É doutorada em Estudos de Literatura e Cultura, especialidade de Estudos Portugueses, pela Universidade de Lisboa (2022), com uma tese sobre a obra de António Ramos Rosa, tendo usufruído de uma bolsa de doutoramento atribuída pela FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia. É licenciada em Filosofia pela Universidade de Coimbra (2005) e mestre em Filosofia pela Universidade de Lisboa (2013). É investigadora integrada do CLEPUL – Centro de Literaturas e Culturas Lusófonas e Europeias da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa.

Publishes and lectures on the following areas: Philosophy of Language, Aesthetics and Philosophy of Art, Philosophy of History, Hermeneutics, History of Philosophy, Translation Studies.
José Pedro Serra
Licenciou-se em Filosofia, em 1980, na FLUL. No mesmo ano terminou o 5º ano do Curso de Teologia na U. Católica. Em 1989 obteve o grau de Mestre em Literatura Grega na FLUL e em 1999 obteve o grau de Doutor em Cultura Clássica na mesma Universidade.
É professor catedrático no Departamento de Estudos Clássicos da Universidade de Lisboa. Em 2006, publicou Pensar o Trágico (Lisboa, F. C. Gulbenkian; reeditado na Ed. Abysmo, 2018), obra a que foi atribuído o prémio do Pen Club 2007, na categoria de Ensaio. Recebeu também o prémio Jacinto do Prado Coelho da Associação Portuguesa dos Críticos Literários. É o Director da Biblioteca da FLUL.
Graduated in Philosophy from FLUL in 1980. In the same year he completed the 5th year of his Theology degree at the Catholic University. In 1989 he obtained a Master's degree in Greek Literature from FLUL and in 1999 he obtained a PhD in Classical Culture from the same university.
He is a full professor in the Department of Classical Studies at the University of Lisbon. In 2006, he published Pensar o Trágico (Lisbon, F. C. Gulbenkian; reissued by Ed. Abysmo, 2018), which was awarded the 2007 Pen Club prize in the Essay category. He also received the Jacinto do Prado Coelho award from the Portuguese Association of Literary Critics. He is the Director of the FLUL Library.
José Quaresma
Nasceu em Santarém, em 1965.
Licenciou-se em Pintura pela ESBAL em 1996. Em 2001, realizou
o Mestrado em Estética e Filosofia de Arte, pela FLUL, com a orientação do Prof. Associado Carlos João Correia. Em 2008, defende na mesma instituição a tese de Doutoramento orientada pela Prof.ª Associada Adriana Veríssimo Serrão. Em 2021 realizou as Provas de Agregação na Universidade de Lisboa área de pintura, especialidade de Gravura. Em 2022 realizou o Pós-doutoramento na área de Pintura, na FBAUP, com a supervisão do Prof. Catedrático António Quadros Ferreira.
Atualmente é Professor Auxiliar com Agregação na área de Pintura, Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa. Expõe pintura, desenho e gravura desde 1982. Tem coordenado projetos científicos e artísticos nos domínios da Investigação em Arte, Investigação Artística, Esfera Digital, Teoria da Imagem, Gravura e Instalação Gráfica, Pintura, Instalação Pictural, Arte Pública, Esfera Pública, Reprodutibilidade e Tecnologia, Património Cultural e Histórico do Chiado e do Carmo. Organiza com frequência exposições de Pintura, Gravura, Arte Pública, Instalação, outras.
É director da Revista de Investigação Artística RIACT, sediada na FBAUL. É autor de 5 livros sobre Pintura no âmbito dos projectos de investigação A Pintura Contemporânea e o Barco de Teseu (entre 2015 e 2020), e ainda do projecto A Pintura Contemporânea e o rio do esquecimento (2020-2030), sediado na FBAUL. É autor de uma publicação sobre Investigação em Artes e Investigação Artística. Tem coordenado e co-coordenado dezenas de livros nas áreas acima indicadas. Tem coordenado muitos catálogos de exposições de arte. É autor de muitos capítulos em livros e tem organizado regularmente ciclos de conferências nacionais e internacionais sobre as áreas já mencionadas. Apresenta, desde 2003, um conjunto significativo de conferências e seminários, nos domínios atrás referidos. Tem sido orientador de dissertações de mestrado e de teses de doutoramento nas áreas da Pintura, Performance, Arte Pública, Instalação, Imagem, Gravura, entre outras. Participa regularmente nos painéis da Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia para a atribuição de bolsas de doutoramento.
Katia Hay
Professora na Universidade de Amsterdão. Obteve o seu doutoramento em Filosofia em 2008, realizado, sob regime de cotutela, nas Universidades Ludwig-Maxmilians (Munique) e Sorbonne (Paris IV) com uma tese sobre o pensamento de Schelling.
Realizou o seu pós-doutoramento na Universidade de Lisboa em torno de um projecto sobre a relação entre o riso e a linguagem na filosofia de Nietzsche. Foi Professora Visitante em várias Universidades (Alemanha, Chile, Portugal, entre outras), tendo coordenado a área de investigação “Praxis” do Centro de Filosofia da Universidade de Lisboa. É autora de uma extensa bibliografia, na qual se destaca o seu livro, Die Notwendigkeit des Scheiterns: Das Tragische als Bestimmung der Philosophie bei Schelling [A necessidade do fracasso: o trágico como determinação da filosofia em Schelling] na Alber Verlag (Freiburg), assim como a edição das obras Nietzsche, German Idealism and its Critics (em conjunto com Leonel Ribeiro dos Santos) na De Gruyter (Berlin) e Nietzsche and Kant on Aesthetics and Anthropology: Nietzsche's Engagements with Kant and the Kantian Legacy (em conjunto com Maria João Branco) na Bloomsbury Academic Press (UK). Markus Gabriel
Markus Gabriel is Professor at the University of Bonn. He is the Director of the International Centre for Philosophy. He was Visiting Professor in several international universities, such as Sorbonne (Paris 1), PUC-Rio de Janeiro, University of Palermo, Aarhus University and the University of Lisbon, among others. He obtained his MA at the University of Bonn and his PhD at the University of Heidelberg. His main areas of research are Metaphysics and Epistemology, German Idealism, 19th and 20th Century Continental Philosophy.
Miguel Cereceda
Professor Catedrático de Estética e Teoria das Artes no Departamento de Filosofia da Universidade Autónoma de Madrid. Ele foi Professor de Filosofia no ensino secundário e professor de Sociologia da Arte na Faculdade de Belas Artes de Cuenca, na Universidade de Castilla-La Mancha.
Ele é crítico de arte no jornal ABC de Madrid e foi Professor Visitante no Departamento de Arte e Novos Media da Universidade de Potsdam (Alemanha) e no Departamento de Letras, Arte e Humanidades da Universidade das Américas em Puebla (México). Ele também foi presidente do Instituto de Arte Contemporânea (IAC). Como Professor Catedrático de Estética, ele atualmente tem reconhecimento por quatro períodos de pesquisa de seis anos.
Miguel Cerceda is a Full Professor of Aesthetics and Theory of the Arts in the Department of Philosophy at the Autonomous University of Madrid. He has been a Professor of Philosophy in secondary education and a professor of Sociology of Art at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cuenca at the University of Castilla-La Mancha.
He is an art critic for the ABC newspaper in Madrid and has been a Visiting Professor in the Department of Art and New Media at the University of Potsdam (Germany) and in the Department of Letters, Art, and Humanities at the University of the Americas in Puebla (Mexico). He has served as the president of the Institute of Contemporary Art (IAC). As a Full Professor of Aesthetics, he currently holds recognition for four six-year research periods.
Nelson Gonçalves Gomes
Doutorado em filosofia pela Universidade de Munique (1975). Desde 1976, professor da Universidade de Brasília, na qual tornou-se professor
titular (1993). Aposentou-se em 2013. Ensinou também na Universidade Católica de Santos (1967-9) e na Universidade de São Paulo (agosto de 1991 - agosto 1992). Seus artigos concentram-se, em especial, em temas do neopositivismo. Em colaboração com docentes portugueses (Prof. J. Branquinho e Prof. D. Murcho) editou a versão brasileira da Enciclopédia de Termos Lógico-Filosóficos (2006).
Holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Munich (1975). Since 1976, he has been a professor at the University of Brasília, where he became a full professor in 1993. He retired in 2013. He also taught at the Catholic University of Santos (1967-9) and at the University of São Paulo (August 1991 - August 1992). His articles primarily focus on topics related to neopositivism. In collaboration with Portuguese professors (Prof. J. Branquinho and Prof. D. Murcho), he edited the Brazilian version of the Encyclopedia of Logical-Philosophical Terms (2006).

Sofia Miguens
Professora catedrática do Departamento de Filosofia da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto, onde ensina (sobretudo) epistemologia, filosofia da mente e da linguagem e filosofia contemporânea. É ainda Investigadora-Principal no Instituto de Filosofia da mesma universidade, onde dirige a linha temática de Filosofia Contemporânea e o Mind, Language and Action Group (MLAG), que fundou em 2005.
Foi Visiting Scholar na Universidade de Nova Iorque, no Instituto Jean Nicod - Paris e na Universidade de Sydney – Australia e Professor Visitante em Amiens e Paris. Foi Presidente da Sociedade Portuguesa de Filosofia. Tem lecionado cursos e feito conferências em vários países, entre eles a Espanha, França, Alemanha, Áustria, Turquia, Suíça, Finlândia, Austrália, Polónia, Rússia, República Checa, entre outros. Foi Diretora do Departamento de Filosofia (FLUP) e do Instituto de Filosofia (FLUP), e directora da licenciatura em Filosofia e do Mestrado em Filosofia. É actualmente diretora do Programa de Doutoramento em Filosofia da FLUP.
É autora de nove livros e mais de uma centena de artigos publicados em revistas da especialidade. Coordenou, entre outros, os seguintes volumes colectivos: Consciousness and Subjectivity (Ontos Verlag, 2012), Pre-Reflective Consciousness (Routledge 2015), Filosofia da Mente – Uma Antologia (UPorto Press 2020, com João Alberto Pinto e Diana Couto) e The Logical Alien (Harvard University Press, 2020). Sofia Miguens is a full professor at the Department of Philosophy of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Porto, where she primarily teaches epistemology, philosophy of mind and language, and contemporary philosophy. She is also a Principal Researcher at the Institute of Philosophy at the same university, where she leads the thematic line of Contemporary Philosophy and the Mind, Language, and Action Group (MLAG), which she founded in 2005.
She has been a Visiting Scholar at New York University, the Jean Nicod Institute in Paris, and the University of Sydney in Australia, as well as a Visiting Professor in Amiens and Paris. She served as the President of the Portuguese Philosophical Society. She has taught courses and given lectures in various countries, including Spain, France, Germany, Austria, Turkey, Switzerland, Finland, Australia, Poland, Russia, the Czech Republic, among others. She has also held positions as the Director of the Department of Philosophy (FLUP) and the Institute of Philosophy (FLUP), and she was the director of the undergraduate and master's programs in Philosophy. She is currently the director of the Doctoral Program in Philosophy at FLUP.
She is the author of nine books and more than a hundred articles published in specialized journals. Soraya Nour Sckell
Professora Catedrática na NOVA School of Law, Universidade Nova de Lisboa. É vice-diretora do CEDIS ( Centro de Investigação Direito e Sociedade). Foi a Investigadora Principal do projeto "Cosmopolitanism: Justice, Democracy and Citizenship without Borders" (PTDC/FER-FIL/30686/2017, 2018-2022). Em 2012, recebeu o Prémio da Amizade Franco-Alemã (Embaixada da Alemanha em Paris) e, em 2018, recebeu o Prémio Wolfgang Kaupen-Preis pela sua investigação em sociologia do direito (Sociedade Alemã de Sociologia, Secção de Sociologia do Direito). Obteve o seu doutoramento em filosofia pela Universidade de Paris Nanterre e pela Universidade Goethe de Frankfurt (2012, sob a supervisão de A. Honneth e Ch. Lazzeri) e em direito pela Universidade de São Paulo (1999, sob a supervisão de V. M. Rangel). Foi diretora do programa de investigação sobre cosmopolitismo no Collège International de Philosophie em Paris (2013-2019) e é vice-presidente da Association Humboldt France.
Soraya Nour Sckell is an associate professor at NOVA School of Law, Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She is a researcher at CEDIS (NOVA School of Law). She was the Principal Investigator of the project "Cosmopolitanism: Justice, Democracy and Citizenship without Borders" (PTDC/FER-FIL/30686/2017, 2018-2022). She received the Franco-German Friendship Award (German Embassy in Paris) in 2012 and in 2018 she received the Wolfgang Kaupen-Preis Award for research in the sociology of law (German Society for Sociology, Sociology of Law Section,). She received her PhD in philosophy from the University Paris Nanterre and the Goethe University Frankfurt (2012, under the supervision of A. Honneth and Ch. Lazzeri) and in law from the University of Sao Paulo (1999, under the supervision of V. M. Rangel). She was director of the research program on cosmopolitanism at the Collège International de Philosophie in Paris (2013-2019) and is vice president of the Association Humboldt France.
Susana Oliveira
Professora Associada, Faculdade de Belas Artes, Universidade de Lisboa, da área de Desenho. Estudou Belas Artes, é mestre em Estética e Filosofia da Arte e doutorada em Comunicação e Cultura e publicou diversos artigos e livros sobre cultura visual. Co-organizou a 1ª Conferência Internacional de Arquitectura e Ficção – Once Upon a Place, Lisboa 2010, publicada em formato de livro em 2013, e foi co-proponente da rede Writing Urban Places. Foi Visiting Scholar na GSAPP – Columbia University NY em 2014, com investigação de pós-doutoramento em Imaginação Arquitetónica em Literatura de Ficção, disciplina que continua a desenvolver. Associate Professor, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon, in the area of Drawing. She studied Fine Arts, holds a Master's degree in Aesthetics and Philosophy of Art and a PhD in Communication and Culture. She has published several articles and books on visual culture. She co-organized the 1st International Conference on Architecture and Fiction - Once Upon a Place, Lisbon 2010, published in book format in 2013, and was a co-proponent of the Writing Urban Places network. She was a Visiting Scholar at GSAPP - Columbia University NY in 2014, with post-doctoral research on Architectural Imagination in Fictional Literature, a field she continues to develop. She also works as a freelance illustrator and has published more than 25 youth and children's books.
Tiago Sousa
Professor de filosofia na Universidade do Minho. Licenciado e doutorado em Filosofia pela mesma universidade, fez o doutoramento na área da Estética Musical. É também licenciado e mestre em Música, com especialização em Guitarra Clássica. Fez também a licenciatura em Engenharia Eletrotécnica e de Telecomunicações. Apresenta-se regularmente em público como concertista de guitarra clássica, a solo e em duo.
Tiago SousaIs a philosophy professor at the University of Minho. He holds a bachelor's and a doctoral degree in Philosophy from the same university, with his doctoral research focusing on Musical Aesthetics. He is also a graduate and master's degree holder in Music, with a specialization in Classical Guitar. Additionally, he completed a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering. He regularly performs as a classical guitar soloist and in duos in public concerts.
Vasti Roodt
Professora Associada do Departamento de Filosofia e Coordenadora da Unidade de Ética Social e Política do Centro de Ética Aplicada da Universidade de Stellenbosch. Estudou nas Universidades de Stellenbosch e de Radboud, nos Países Baixos, e detém o grau de Doutora em Filosofia pela Universidade de Stellenbosch. A sua investigação centra-se na área da filosofia moral e política.
Publicou abundantemente sobre a obra de Friedrich Nietzsche e Hannah Arendt e tem igualmente escrito sobre políticas de identidade, felicidade pública e concepções de violência. É co-editora de Nietzsche, Power and Politics: Rethinking Nietzsche’s Legacy for Political Thought (De Gruyter, 2008) e do South African Journal of Philosophy , número especial sobre a felicidade (Vol. 33 Nr. 4, 2014). A sua investigação mais recente centra-se no modo como a metáfora e a analogia moldam – e distorcem – o nosso raciocínio sobre conceitos políticos.
Vasti Roodt is Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy and the Head of the Unit for Social and Political Ethics in the Centre for Applied Ethics. She studied at Stellenbosch and at Radboud University in the Netherlands, and holds a DPhil (Philosophy) from Stellenbosch University. Her research focuses on moral and political philosophy.
She has published extensively on the work of Friedrich Nietzsche and Hannah Arendt, and has also written on identity politics, public happiness and conceptions of violence. She is co-editor of Nietzsche, Power and Politics: Rethinking Nietzsche’s Legacy for Political Thought (De Gruyter, 2008) and of the South African Journal of Philosophy special issue on happiness (Vol. 33 Nr. 4, 2014). Her most recent research focuses on the way in which metaphor and analogy shape – and distort – our reasoning about political concepts.
